Grower’s Cup in YongPyung Ski Resort, Korea
YongPyung ski resort in Korea last Saturday
After a day with product training and a number of store visits, the CNK team took me to one of their new customers Na Young Kyu who had recently established an Outdoor Kitchen in the centre of Seoul. His vision is to give city people an outdoor experience. In front of his outdoor and bike stores, on the parking ground, he had established his
Outdoor restaurant. When I first saw it, I thought “this would never work in
Europe… An urban outdoor camping restaurant just next to a heavily trafficked road…” However, there was so much good energy in the project and the place that I was genuinely amazed. Within a few hours the place was totally busy and business people in suits and ties and office ladies were queing to get seated in camping chairs…. Naturally, all guests got served a tasty Grower’s Cup coffee experience as part of the desert…!
A few weeks ago I spent some very interesting days in Korea visiting our new Grower’s Cup family in Korea. CNK Company is our new outdoor partner in Korea and they are doing a fantastic job introducing Grower’s Cup in the Korean outdoor environment. We visited several test stores in Seoul and although Grower’s Cup had just been introduced -
all of the stores sold really well.
Woohoo!
We are proud to announce that Grower’s Cup just won an Outdoor INDUSTRY AWARD (Organized by iF Design) in Outdoor Messe Friedrichshafen 2012.
The award provides assistance as to which product is lightweight, functional, innovative and environmentally friendly!

Dear, friends from the USA! It would be great, if we could send everyone Coffeebrewers, so you could estimate for yourselves, how convenient it is to make freshly brewed specialty coffee while hiking or doing any other outdoor activity, but for now – Brian is doing a great thing – sharing some of his supplies! Here is all the information how you can get free coffeebrewers from Brian Green – the author of Brian’s Backpacking Blog.
Anders from Indslev Bryggery visited us to taste different coffees to chose some, which he will use for the coffee beer. We have chosen 4 mild, soft coffees without bitterness to brew together with the beer. The first brew will be made in a few weeks.
We are looking forward to try the beer brewed with coffees from Grower’s Cup.
